Alibaba Cloud, went on to launch its second data centre in India. The company said in astatement that the new “availability zone” is located in Mumbai and will offer many product lines like Storage, Database, Elastic Computing Network, Application Services and Big Data Analytics that will aid in supporting local governments and enterprises in the Alibaba Cloud India region.
“The commencement of the second availability zone reiterates our focus on India as a key market in Alibaba Cloud’s global expansion strategy,” said Alex Li, General Manager, Alibaba Cloud India.
Alibaba Cloud had set up its first India data centre in Mumbai. this year in January to meet with the surge in demand for the Cloud computing service among the growing numbers of all small and medium-sized businesses in India.
The company said that the Dual availability zones will farther enhance the level of security of Alibaba Cloud’s data centres in India.
